- NOTE: If you are using the Student Desktop or Staff Desktop, you may not need to download these.
- Before you begin, find out if you need to download these filters and connection files at all.
- In EndNote, go to the menu Edit --> Preferences.
- In the EndNote Preferences window, select the 'Folder Locations' option.
- If the address in the Filter and Connections folders begins with 'M', you can use centrally updated filters and files.
- If the address begins with 'C', you will need to download your own filters and files.
- If clicking on a download link doesn't work
try right clicking (PC) or ctrl-clicking (Mac) on the link and choosing
to save the file to your computer.>
- Once downloaded unzip the package and copy the filters to your
Filter folder and the connection files to your Connection folder,
both of which are loacted in your EndNote application folder.
- If you have an very recent version of Endnote, your files/filters
may be more current than these. Use the ones supplied
with your EndNote in preference. If in any doubt, check the EndNote web site. If you need an import filter or connection
file for a database the Library subcribes to, but which is not listed
here, please contact
us. Filters and Connection files are not always available but
