The Hocken Collections are open to all individuals who wish to visit our reading rooms and exhibitions, and those people who cannot visit but wish to use the collections and research services available. There is no charge for access to the Hocken Collections. Answers to the most commonly asked questions we receive from our readers are available at Frequently Asked Questions. A number of guides about the sources held relating to specific subject areas have been produced by the Friends of the Hocken Collections. There are also several guides that have been produced by Hocken staff that relate to genealogy and Maori Resources. There are a range of postcards, cards and publications available for sale and they can be viewed and ordered at the Hocken Collections Online shop.
