Examples and instructions for the major styles are detailed on the citation styles page. Find a bookTo find print and electronic books held by any of the University Libraries, search our catalogue by the title of the book, by author or by keywords. Try these guides - Find a Book, Advanced Catalogue Searching, or ask at the Library desk. Find a journalAll journals (both print and electronic) owned by the University Library are searchable via our catalogue. Search for the title of the journal (not the article title). Find an articleThe best way to find journal articles is to search an appropriate database which indexes articles and abstracts and may link to the full-text article you want. Or use the online Reserve Request Form. Renew my booksYou can renew your books online, via telephone or at any lending desk in the Library. If you are blocked while trying to renew your items online you can contact the lending staff at one of the University Libraries, either in person, by telephone or email. There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to renew items: a) If your fines are in excess of $5. you will have to reduce them before being able to renew items, place requests or get items out. b) If you have already renewed your items twice. Twice is the maximum number of renewals allowed. c) If the item has been requested by another patron. In this case your due date may have been shortened for a particular item and cannot be increased again. d) If you have overdue recalled items. If you have a book that someone else has requested and you have not brought it back by its due date (which may have been shortened from its original due date) then you will not be able to renew items, place requests or get items out until the item is returned.
