About the Health Sciences LibraryThe Health Sciences Library comprises two physical libraries, the Medical Library and the Dental Library. Medical LibraryThe Library is housed on floors 1-3 of the Sayers Building at 290 Great King Street. Enter through the south entrance on Great King Street, or through the Lindo Ferguson Building at 1st floor level. The Medical Library contains 100,000 volumes (of which 20,000 are books), and still receives over 400 print periodicals as well as thousands of electronic journals. There is seating accommodation for 420 readers.
Dental LibraryThe Dental Library is located on the ground floor of the School of Dentistry. Access is through the Frederick Street entrance to the School of Dentistry. It contains the Dental book collection of some 2000 volumes. Current issues of print journals are displayed in the Dental Library along with some full journals, although the largest part of the journals collection is housed on the second and third floors of the nearby Medical Library. While it primarily serves the students and staff of the Faculty of Dentistry, it is open to all members of the University, to dental practitioners, and to members of the public. There is seating accommodation for 124 readers. You can connect to the Internet via WiFi from the Dental Library.
